we were looking for the replacement for long. Microsoft takes very good "care" of us. they are very friendly and helpful, and almost every time they will remind us that the Office licenses that we purchased is not enough now then tell us that there are 4 Microsoft gold-partener exist in this city, their phone are provided.

Manage limited software license is kind of problem to us, user always claim MS office to be installed whenever they need it or not, and their department manager too approve them without reason. i don't know what other sister plant think but we all have the Office license problem. OS license is not a problem because we bought it together with the hardware.

There are lot of replace candidate in China, WPS Office ,Open Office, Yongzhong Office, etc. but none of them are perfect. Yet they do word and excel document very good. WPS Office even look and operate like MS office in the same way, their concept was "make user fell as confortable as using MS office". but WPS often popup ads together with their product, too bad. we use the Open Office for user don't have MS office but need to deal Office doucment seldom.

All Outlook and access replacement are far from perfect. many of them can't open email attachment correctly, this is not problem since nowdays tons of email client software are avaliable to chose. we use Thunderbird + winmail Openner to replace outlook. But Access replacement is a disaster. while you make an Access program, don't expect it will run correctly in other Access replace software.

anyway, Access runtime is a free software you can download from Microsoft to run the Access program. same as MSDE(free edition of microsoft SQL), it has no GUI.

Powerpoint is not a problem. they can emulate well.
