it was ok on the suse linux 10.0 server, but after upgrade to 10.0 sp1, the mysql client odbc configuration on a windows xp sp2 computer can't work. it does not say we need upgrade the client version. but simply denied the login.

this is quite confusing while i was suspicious if the logon account on the server was not correctly generated or privilege didn't assigned correctly. after 2 days of trouble shooting. now it can be connected.
